付勢 bias, urge against, press against

一般的には、 (1)勢いが増加されることを意味しているが、特許明細書では、(2)勢いを付すること（例えば、一方に偏るような力を加えること）にも用いられる。概して、前者には、energize, actuateなどが対応し、後者にはbias, urgeなどが対応する。
